SEPTEMBER FISHING

Well, August has given way to September witch means it is time to go catch a fish.  Some of the best fishing on the Outerbanks happens in September and October.  Offshore fishing has gone from slow to marlin mayhem  over night.  Double digit white marlin releases have been very common over the past week, along with some monster blue marlin releases.  Also look for a scattered tuna or wahoo to appear on the docks.  Inshore fishing should continue to be good with bluefish and spanish makeral dominating the catches, also look for the hard fighting albacore to show up from time to time.  You can count on catching a limit of tasty tilefish on a deep water bottom trip, this is the closest thing to a sure thing that they make in the fishing business.  Fishing from the surf should pick up as the fall sets in, I cant wait to break out my trout rod.

Good Luck,

Chris at Sharkys
