LATE SUMMER FISHING

The fishing is right on schedule this year. Late summer species have arrived in force. Inshore charters have been very consistent with spanish mackerel and bluefish, also the tackle busting albacore have shown up. Surf fishing has been good for spot croker and sea mullets. Offshore the billfish have shown up in force, many boats have been hooking multiple fish every day. Yesterday the Hoo Dini with Capt. Jay Watson caught a limit of tilefish, fifteen dolphin and two sailfish.
Good Luck,
Chris at Sharky’s

Why do some people hold the marlin flags upside down? Is a blue flag with a white marlin on it mean they caught a white marlin or vice versa? Thank you for your response.

An upside down flag means the fish was realeased, if a flag is right side up in a photo it is a mistake, we normaly release all billfish. A blue flag with a white fish is a white marlin.
