IT IS COBIA TIME
Published on June 1st, 2009 | Click for more |I went on a fun trip with our friend Mike on the Reel Teasher yesterday and slammed the cobia. What a day when you can take four boys under the age of ten out and catch eleven cobia. The boys caught nine of the eleven. My wife Amy caught her first citation, a 67 pounder. The Reel Teasher is one of the boats I worked on when I was a mate, It was called the Finatic back then. The thing that made this trip extra special is that my old captain Brian Davenport was on board. It was like old times. Those of you that have fished for cobia with Brian and myself know how excited we get about them, hats off to Mike for dealing with our antics. It felt so good to be in the tower again after sitting in this store for three years. The Fine Line with captain Caine also had a good catch of cobia yesterday. Offshore fishing was good yesterday as well. There were a lot of dolphin and yellowfin tuna caught. There were also a few blue marlin caught. Pier fishing was good up and down the beach with a lot of spanish mackerel and bluefish caught. Surf fishing produced a fair number of bottom fish.
Good Luck,
Chris at Sharky’s

Got him on
