OBX (as the locals call it) is a string of barrier islands that covers more than half of the northern North Carolina coastline which includes Duck and Corrola. With yearly average temperatures at a balmy 70 degrees and miles of endless beaches, the Outer Banks is an extremely popular tourist destination.

Formerly located at Barrier Island Station in Duck, Sharky’s will continue to be your "go to" place for all your Outer Banks fishing needs. Yes, we are still located on the historical Outer Banks.

The NC Outer Banks has seemingly endless beachfront with over 900 square miles of water surrounding on both sides. We have the third largest estuary system in the world including several wildlife refuges and maritime forests.

Whether it's shallow water fishing, surf fishing, Pamlico Sound inshore fishing, near shore fishing, offshore fishing and from light tackle to deep sea jigging and trolling, the Outer Banks is an international fishing destination. Exotic species like yellowfin tuna and king mackerel can be caught year round. Many other fish species that can be caught by season offshore including but not limited to blue marlin, white marlin, sailfish, mahi, and wahoo. inshore / near shore / Near Shore species include bluefish, striped bass, spanish mackerel, spot, sea mullet (whiting), croaker, flounder, speckled trout, gray trout, pompano, red drum, and cobia.

The Outer Banks consists of 5 open inlets with our own closest inlet being the world famous Oregon Inlet. Oregon Inlet runs between Bodie Island and Pea Island. The area is home to several marinas and one of the largest charter fishing fleets on the Atlantic East Coast. The Outer Banks features year round fishing including surf and pier fishing, freshwater, fly fishing and soundside fishing, inshore, near shore and deep sea offshore charter fishing.
